By proceeding with a booking, you confirm that you understand the nature of the service and voluntarily consent to receive professional massage and bodywork treatment.

Purpose of Massage Therapy

Massage and bodywork may help to:

  • Reduce muscular tension

  • Improve circulation

  • Relieve stress

  • Support general wellbeing

Massage therapy is not a replacement for medical care, medical diagnosis or treatment from a qualified healthcare professional.

Your Responsibility Before Treatment

You are responsible for informing your therapist before the session if you have any condition that may affect the safety or suitability of massage treatment.

This may include:

  • Pregnancy

  • Recent surgery, injury or accident

  • Skin conditions or infections

  • Allergies

  • Chronic pain

  • Heart or circulation conditions

  • Blood-clotting conditions

  • Current medication

  • Any other relevant health concern

You do not need to submit this information through this webpage. Your therapist may ask appropriate health and safety questions privately before treatment begins.

Where medical approval is required, it is your responsibility to obtain approval from your doctor or healthcare provider before receiving massage therapy.

During Your Session

Please communicate openly with your therapist throughout the treatment.

You may:

  • Request lighter or firmer pressure

  • Ask the therapist to change a technique

  • Ask that a particular area not be treated

  • Request additional draping or covering

  • Pause or end the session at any time

Please immediately inform your therapist if you experience pain, discomfort, dizziness, numbness or any unusual symptoms.

Privacy and Draping

Professional draping will be used throughout the session to protect your privacy.

Only the area being treated will be uncovered. You may ask for additional covering or request that an area not be treated at any time.

Any personal information shared privately with your therapist will be treated confidentially, except where disclosure is required by law or authorised by you.

Professional Boundaries

IMANI Bodywork provides professional therapeutic massage and bodywork services only.

Sexual services, inappropriate comments, gestures, conduct or requests will not be tolerated.

Any inappropriate behaviour may result in the immediate termination of the session. The client may still be charged for the appointment and may be refused future services.

Treatment Results

Individual responses to massage therapy may vary.

No specific result, recovery time or treatment outcome can be guaranteed.

Cancellation and No-Show Policy

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.

Clients who do not attend their appointment without providing notice may be charged up to the full session fee.

By confirming your appointment, you acknowledge that:
